Unlike many fitness experts, EODD Diet author Jon Benson was not the star of the football team, or someone who always enjoyed exercising and eating well. On the contrary, Jon Benson was an overweight, out-of-shape regular guy. Unfortunately, like so many other “regular guys” today, Jon was also extremely unhealthy.
After going through much of his life in an unhealthy state something “clicked” at the age of 38. After a doctor’s visit Jon realized that his current lifestyle was slowly killing him. If he wanted to live a long and productive life he was going to have to make some serious changes to this lifestyle.
But the questions quickly became, “How do I make this change?” Jon had tried traditional diet and exercise routines in the past, without much success. Because of this he knew he needed a new approach.
The approach he decided on was something he learned from motivational speaker Tony Robbins called “role modeling”. The idea is to find people who have already been successful doing what you want to do, and copying their actions.
During this process Jon Benson studied the tactics of a variety of experts in health in weight loss, including Clarence Bass and Dr. Richard Winett. Throughout this process Jon had the opportunity to try a variety of diet and exercise methods. He found which ones worked and which ones did not work, and eventually reached his goals.

The end result was a dramatically healthier and happier lifestyle, with the body to match. But Jon knew that many others out there were still struggling to lose even 5 or 10 pounds of fat, much less making the huge transformation that he had.
Because of this Jon Benson decided to begin sharing his new-found knowledge of all things diet and exercise. To date he has written several popular books, including The Every Other Day Diet, Fit Over 40, and 7 Minute Muscle.
Today Jon continues to learn and help people achieve their goals through his books and coaching. He is also currently pursuing a Masters degree in Nutritional Science.
